PRODUCTION
INSPECTION OF INCOMING COMPONENTS
All incoming goods and components are cross-checked with the documentation and undergo a visual inspection.
SAMPLE PIECE CONTROL
Following acceptance, watchmakers assemble a sample piece that will be tested in order to check technical data and to ensure that all parts comply with technical drawings and renders (e.g. dial thickness and height of hands, etc.).
PRODUCTION
Within Montrelux SA everyone has a clearly defined role: inspection of the movement, manual fitting of dial and hands, calendar inspection and functional check
CASING
Casing is carried out with or without Flux Laminaier and with an extreme care using high quality materials for the cleaning of every smallest piece. The case back is closed either using an electric screwdriver (individual screws – Lecureux screwdrivers) or using the Roxer machine for screwdown backs.
TEST AND CONTROL
WATER RESISTANCE TEST
All pieces are then tested with latest-generation Witschi Electronic equipment, with which watches can be tested from a minimum of 1 ATM to a maximum of 10 ATM. For Diving products, tests are performed with a Roxer Natador, allowing testing from 10 ATM to 100 ATM (one thousand metres).
24/48 HOUR CHECK AND FUNCTIONAL TEST
For both quartz and automatic watches functional tests are performed on the basis of the characteristics and specifications of each movement. With the aid of modern Witschi Electronics equipment, Montrelux SA is able to test the mechanical movements of watches and adjust the tolerance to the technical specifications and client’s requirements, issuing a PDF file that certifies operations for every single movement.
WATCH QUALITY CONTROL
Every aspect of the external appearance of a watch is inspected by the Watch Quality Control internal department.
Lastly, watches are carefully placed into dedicated boxes or packed according to the customer’s instructions and wishes.
